“I do what I love and I love what I do!”

I have been teaching painting classes for over 25 years and my ongoing classes in watercolor, oil, acrylic, and pastel have found a happy home at University Art in San Jose. I also do painting demonstrations, critiques, and judging for local art shows.
Gallery affiliation is with Los Gatos Museums Gallery at 24 N. Santa Cruz Avenue, Los Gatos. It’s been my pleasure to receive awards in several local and statewide competitions. See my watercolor painting “Sunstruck Morning” in the North Light Books publication Splash 8 – Watercolor Discoveries.
My favorite places to paint, outside of my studio that is, include our beautiful California landscape, New Mexico, and the Tuscany region of Italy where I had the pleasure of studying the Renaissance and where I taught a watercolor workshop.

I received my BA in art education in 1975 and furthered my education by taking workshops with some of the world’s finest instructors. My early influences include my Great Uncle, western painter Frank Tenney Johnson and Genevieve Tuck, my Aunt.
I find that there is a great camaraderie among artists.
